Description:

The Architectural Systems Coordinator manages a number of systems to support collection and dissemination of various building documentation. Primarily manages the operation of a web-based document archive system consisting of data and drawings associated with all construction projects for the 1300+ buildings that constitute the Columbus and regional campuses. System also includes building specifications, building design standard files, and other critical building data. Creates, maintains, updates, and edits archive data associated with each building and project. Reviews electronic submittals (via eBuilder) of record drawings of the completed construction projects. Ensures AutoCAD and Revit drawings meet OSU standards before acceptance. Oversees the process for scanning project drawings and manages large format scanning equipment. Assists with building information requests from other university departments, architectural/engineering firms, and contractors. Provides training and technical support to users of archive website. Manages student staff needed to maintain currency and accuracy of the system. Manages OSU’s BIM 360 environment including project and user creation. Manages the operation of the BIM Portal (Imaginit’s Clarity software) to support Revit model data extraction and task automation. May assist with room numbering for projects.

Experience:

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with AutoCAD

Ability to read and interpret architectural, engineering, structural and site drawings.

Ability to understand data quality and have a deep commitment to ensuring data is accurate and reliable.

High level of attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent organizational skills.

Desired:

Experience with Revit

Experience with Space Information Systems and/or architectural drawing archiving.

Experience with room numbering.

Experience administering Autodesk BIM 360.
