PechaKucha – Call for Presentations

The Committee on Design is interested in exploring unbuilt architectural designs and invites members to share speculative and/or unbuilt projects by hosting a PechaKucha of UnBuilt Potential from 4:30-6 pm on March 7 at AECOM. Attend to experience new projects and ideas or present unbuilt work of your practice or individual designs.

PechaKucha is a style where each presentation shares a maximum of 20 slides moving automatically every 20 seconds while the presenter is talking (6 minutes and 40 seconds total). Unbuilt projects can include development at all phases from schematic development to CDs of a project that has not yet or will not be built. Presentations can share one or multiple projects and can be less than the maximum of 20 slides. Designs can be from a firm presenting its own unbuilt work, or an individual’s designs outside of an office. There will be two rounds of presentations with questions following each round. If you are interested, please fill out this form by February 19 with the project(s) you would like to present with one image for each. Participants agree to send final presentations to AIA by March 1 for review and curation for PechaKucha.
