Join AIA Columbus on this tour, brought to us by Homeport, that will give participants the opportunity to view new development within the historical King-Lincoln district of Columbus, Ohio. Beginning at the Homeport Gallery, participants will hear a short presentation about the buildings they will tour, and how they fit in to the historical context of the surrounding neighborhood, as well as future plans for the Long Street Corridor. Participants will then walk to the NoBo on Long Condominium where they will hear about architectural preservation, integration, and adaptation as they view one renovated unit and one new construction unit. To finish the tour, participants will view a LEED platinum-certified single family residence, where they will hear about the sustainable features of the house, as well as future plans for additional eco-friendly housing at NoBo.
