Welcome the New AAH Committee Chair

AIA Columbus welcomes the new Academy of Architecture for Health Committee Chair Kristina Bertocchi!

As an architect and designer, Kristina finds purpose in helping clients’ visions become a reality, from early conception to construction. She has a dedication to the healthcare discipline and enjoys working in a field that gives back to the communities she works with. She believes communication is at the core of practicing architecture and that intentional structures of communication result in successful projects. She balances this professional work with academic work at The Ohio State University by teaching studios to help support students during their tumultuous first few years.

She has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The Ohio State University where she won first place in the James E. Gui Competition and was awarded a University Fellowship to return for her Master of Architecture. She has 9 years of experience in healthcare specific architecture and planning. She has specific interest in behavioral health programs, completing research and giving statewide talks about the current practices of trauma informed design, and creating strategies to implement them in a wide range of project types.
