Join us for a tour of the East Market building on April 21!  Presented by the Committee on Design.

The East Market building was originally part of the Trolley District, a servicing station built between 1882 and 1920.  For many years, the site serviced public transit in Columbus including horsecars, streetcars, and buses, but the buildings have been vacant since the 1980s.  When the 40,000 square foot project is complete, it will include 2 bars, 12 vendor stalls, and a private event space.  Surrounding buildings are also being restored and will include a Columbus Brewing Company taproom and beer garden, seafood restaurant, Mexican restaurant, and office space.  A new apartment building is planned for an empty lot across the street.  Renovations have included new floors, new structural supports, repaired ceilings, and patched walls.  The architect was Sandvick Architects and the developer is Connect Realty.

Attendees are invited to stay for a happy hour at the Railhouse bar following the tour.
