Senior Architectural Designer

POSTION OVERVIEW
Orange Barrel Media is seeking an experienced Architectural Designer to join our growing real estate development team. The Architectural Designer will develop innovative sign designs and help assess potential sites.
Responsibilities:
- Design large format signs which are memorable and enhance their environment.
- Research urban context and community needs in each market. Identify opportunities for design to align with city priorities and provide community benefits.
- Study sites and downtown neighborhoods to identify opportunities for signs.
- Develop polished presentation materials. Advocate design in verbal and graphic presentations.
- Coordinate with deployment team on design execution.
Qualifications:
- BS. in Architecture, B.Arch or M.Arch preferred.
- Strong design portfolio.
- 4+ years professional design experience.
- Able to generate multiple designs for each site which respond to their context.
- Proficient in Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office.
- Able to combine visual and written elements to build a compelling argument. Able to write and speak persuasively about design without using jargon.
- Passionate about contemporary architecture, art, and urban environments. Candidate should possess the enthusiasm and resilience needed to develop multiple solutions for public-facing projects.
- Candidate must be able to travel periodically and thrive in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial culture.
