M+A Architects is hiring a Project Captain for our Columbus office. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, coordination, and production of complete sets of construction documents under the direction of a Project Manager.
What you will do:
- Produce construction documents using Revit or AutoCAD.
- Coordinate with Designer and Project Manager during the Design Phase to produce models and design drawings for internal and external use.
- Assist Project Manager in communication and coordination with clients, consultants, and all in-house team members.
- Takes direction from Project Manager; works with a team and leads drawing production on portions of larger projects.
- Provide input for basic detail designs
- Perform code review/research with guidance.
- Perform construction administration duties with limited guidance.
- Perform miscellaneous administrative duties associated with projects as needed or assigned.
- Other duties as assigned – assignments may include higher level work for the purposes of training/development
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited program or 2-year CAD technical degree or equivalent
- 5+ years experience in architecture
- Proficient in Revit
- Ability to work under pressure of deadlines
- Solid understanding of construction methods required and sustainable solutions
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
- Willingness and ability to take on progressive responsibilities with the goal of advancing to Project Manager or Project Architect roles
- Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines
