ARCHway 2024 Information

ARCHway is launching its fourth program year in early 2024. This unique program offers more than just traditional mentorship; it’s a comprehensive platform designed to foster meaningful connections between young architects and established firm leaders in the vibrant Columbus architectural community. What sets this initiative apart is its commitment to developing leadership skills alongside mentorship. AIA Columbus recognizes that the future of architecture requires not only technical prowess but also the ability to lead and inspire. Through thought-provoking sessions, the program employs various modes of active interaction, including group mentoring, reverse mentoring, and peer mentoring. This dynamic approach ensures a well-rounded learning experience that caters to both emerging talent and experienced professionals. By participating in ARCHway, you’re not just gaining mentors; you’re becoming part of a community invested in your growth and success. Interested architects and designers must have less than 10 years of professional experience and be an AIA Member (AIA or Associate AIA).

Those interested in being an advisee must fill out an application, and send a resumé to [email protected] by December 31, 2023 at 5 PM. A committee of AIA members will review applications and select advisees.

2022 was another successful year for the ARCHway program!  ARCHway is a mentorship/leadership initiative that connects young architects with firm leaders in the Columbus architectural community. It is a comprehensive approach to mentorship that also focuses on developing leadership skills for emerging talent and seasoned professionals. The program structures multiple modes of active interaction such as group mentoring, reverse mentoring, and peer-mentoring, through thought-provoking sessions.  Participants held discussions about their individual strengths, workplace culture, and equity within the profession and community.  The program featured guest speakers including Brooke Cartus and Stephanie Hightower.  Thank you to all of our participants!

It is a comprehensive approach to mentorship that also focuses on developing leadership skills for emerging talent and seasoned professionals. The program structures multiple modes of active interaction such as group mentoring, reverse mentoring, and peer-mentoring, through thought provoking sessions.
