Join us for an insightful session on the Columbus Climate Action Plan, focusing on how architects can lead in sustainable design and energy efficiency. Cassie Johnson, Building and Energy Coordinator, will discuss strategies for reducing building emissions, increasing efficiency, and adopting net-zero and resilient design standards. Learn about upcoming policies, incentive programs, and ways to engage in shaping the city’s sustainability efforts.

Cassie works as the Buildings & Energy Coordinator for the City of Columbus where she creates strategies and programs that improve the health and safety of buildings that residents live and work in. Prior to working for the City, Cassie worked in communications at the Ohio Environmental Council where she engaged and supported Ohioans in their understanding of the impacts of local and statewide policy. Her bachelor’s degree in psychology has shaped her approach to policy change where she centers empathy, transparency, and trust as key pathways to sustained change.
