AIA Columbus is proud to endorse Tim Hawk, FAIA, as a candidate for 2027 AIA President.
Hawk is the President of WSA Studio in Columbus, Ohio, an AIA Ohio Gold Medal firm recognized for creating innovative spaces through design collaboration. Under his leadership, WSA Studio has delivered transformative urban interventions, dynamic interior environments, and iconic architecture that shapes communities.
A dedicated and accomplished leader within the AIA, Hawk currently serves as the AIA Foundation Treasurer. His extensive service to the profession includes terms as a 2022–2023 Treasurer, 2019–2021 At-large Board Member, 2016–2018 Strategic Councilor for the Ohio Valley Region, 2018–2021 Liaison to AIAS, 2020 Chair of the AIA Government Advocacy Committee, and 2019 Chair of the Interior Architecture Knowledge Community. Hawk’s contributions at the local level are equally impactful—he served as the 2009 President of AIA Columbus and was honored with the AIA Columbus President’s Award in 2017 and the AIA Ohio Mentor Award in 2020.
Through his thoughtful leadership and dedication to advancing the profession, Tim Hawk continues to inspire architects and future leaders alike. AIA Columbus proudly supports his candidacy for 2027 AIA President.

As 2026 AIA President-Elect/2027 AIA President, in my first 100 days, I will utilize my experience and knowledge acquired through my eight years as a national leader to activate our 100,000 members at the local and state level…..to expand advocacy networks, accelerate leadership development, advance inclusive professional growth, and equip our membership with the tools to protect our neighbors and advance our communities.”
