This presentation will look at the unique challenges community hospitals face in addressing evolving competitive pressures and customer demands through the lens of the recently completed Fairfield Medical Center River Valley Campus in Lancaster, Ohio. This facility met those challenges head-on through a strategic partnership with a YMCA, a focus on community wellness, and bold site selection. We’ll explore the facility’s unique spectrum of services, from acute care (including an emergency department), to a full-service YMCA facility, to community conference/classroom facilities, and how this dynamic mix looks to catalyze population health improvement by focusing on wellness and preventative health.
