2012 AIA Columbus Annual Meeting

AIA Columbus has invited Mr. Robert Ivy, FAIA and Executive Vice President of the American Institute of Architects to engage in dialogue with Mr. Robert Loversidge, FAIA of local Columbus firm Schooley Caldwell Associates. In front of a live audience, the two will discuss current trends within the industry and in different sectors, the role of the AIA, the importance of design for healthier communities, and other issues critical to the profession of architecture. Following discussion, Mr. Ivy and Mr. Loversidge will open the microphone for a question and answer session with the attendees. 

Robert Ivy, FAIA

 

Robert Ivy is the Chief Executive Officer of the American Institute of Architects. He serves AIA architects and design professionals through an organization known as the “voice of the architecture profession,” and whose rich history spans more than 150 years. In his role, Robert works to increase public understanding of the architect’s contribution and the value of design. He helps ensure that AIA members have the necessary tools and resources to successfully address the challenges of the clients and communities they serve. Prior to joining the AIA, Robert was vice president and editorial director of McGraw-Hill Construction and editor-in-chief of Architectural Record, where he also oversaw 16 print and 17 digital publications.
